The day hospital based on the reception and diagnostic department is designed to provide medical and diagnostic assistance to patients with emergency and urgent indications delivered to the emergency department by the ambulance brigade (or referring patients on their own), or by the consultant polyclinic of the RHB Ministry of Health RT “.
Medical assistance in a day hospital during working hours is organized by the head of the reception and diagnostic department, in the evening, at night, on holidays and weekends – the responsible doctor in the hospital.
The length of the patient’s stay in a day hospital is determined by the attending physician, taking into account the ongoing medical and diagnostic procedures, but not less than 4 hours.
Children (0-18 years old), pregnant women, nursing women accompanying the child, patients with diabetes mellitus, provided that they stay in a day hospital for up to 5 hours are provided with one-time meals, from 6 hours and more – two meals a day.
Indications for hospitalization in a day hospital based on the reception and diagnosis department:
Patients needing to establish a diagnosis in conducting complex diagnostic studies that require special pre-treatment and follow-up after research;
Patients who require monitoring for a certain time after surgical intervention, invasive manipulation in the conditions of the receiving and diagnostic department;
Patients requiring follow-up for a certain time due to possible adverse reactions to the administration of medications (intravenous infusions, specific hyposensitizing therapy, intra-articular drug administration, etc.);
Patients who require monitoring for a certain time of the dynamic observation and monitoring of the parameters of the activity of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
